Renie making jewelry at her workbench in the McBead's studio

Renie's studio was once a flower shed. For years she tended homegrown flowers there, in a garden she shared with her two therapy-trained Old English Sheepdogs, Brady and Grace.

Grace found her peace resting among the lavender — calm and content in the middle of all that color.

Brady, ever curious, preferred to sample the blooms himself. When the flowers eventually gave way to gemstones, that same beauty and joy came with them — and the old shed became Renie's creative studio.

Today she spends countless hours there, handcrafting jewelry. Each piece begins with a single gemstone she's fallen in love with — then she designs around it, working only with natural, genuine gemstones, hand-assembled so no two pieces are ever quite alike.

For years, Renie has shared her one-of-a-kind work at craft shows and community events across Pennsylvania. This site is the next step — a way to bring her jewelry to people who can't make it to the booth. If you've ever bought a piece from her table, thank you.
